Our uniform identifies our students, and gives them a sense of belonging and pride in our school. During Years 1 to 12, students wear the ACG Parnell College uniform. Upon reaching Year 13, mufti wear with a dress code is acceptable.
The uniform includes an element of choice for your child – a white polo shirt or a more formal shirt. They may also choose between a woollen jumper (for boys), a cardigan (for girls) or a unisex jacket.
Skirts and pinafores must be worn knee-length or longer, with the pleat being at least 22cms.
These items are all designed to be comfortable and practical, while maintaining the standards and identity of the College. The uniform is available for purchase from the College.
Your Year 1 to 12 child may wear their own shoes and socks. Only plain black shoes and dark socks are permitted – no sport shoes or brightly coloured socks. Girls may wear plain tights. For summer, sandals are permitted. Your child’s sandals must have a strap around the heel.
Your Year 13 student is permitted to wear mufti, to recognise their transition to the world of work and further study. At this level, the College acknowledges student’s individuality and differences of taste, while encouraging them to be mindful of the leadership role they hold at the College.
Your student’s clothing should be appropriate for a work environment, and always tidy and clean. Singlets, inappropriate messages or slogans on garments, ripped or holed clothes, and brief or skimpy clothes are not suitable.
Your student must wear appropriate shoes at all times. Sandals with a strap around the heel may be worn, but jandals are not permitted.
