ACG Parnell College has once again secured a top spot in Metro magazine’s Best Auckland Secondary Schools list.
The just released 2018 list ranked ACG Parnell College in 2nd place, making it one of the top schools in Auckland based on its University Entrance results. An outstanding 96% of our year 13 students achieved University Entrance in 2017. ACG Parnell College also achieved the highest University Entrance pass rates of any co-ed school in Auckland.
This is the second consecutive year the school has placed 2nd overall, which according to Principal Russell Brooke, is a testament to the extremely high calibre of teaching and delivery at the school.
“Our success in all we do arises from outstanding teachers and motivated students who thrive in our inclusive environment,” he said.
“The fact that we achieve so highly without entrance testing demonstrates our wholehearted commitment to a focus on what is important in education: the best teachers, motivated students and families, and a happy and encouraging culture.”
The release of Cambridge results earlier this year also placed ACG Parnell College amongst the best, with a 5% increase of both A* and A grades at A-level and two students gaining offers to study at the University of Cambridge – currently ranked the 2nd best university in the world.
For CEO Schools Clarence van der Wel results like these are just one of the many reasons students and families choose ACG Parnell College.
“These outstanding results reflect the focus our schools place on academic excellence, however emphasis is also placed on the personal growth and well-being of our students through sports and performing arts to ensure we develop confident and well-rounded young people,” he said.
According to Metro, all four ACG Schools are amongst the top 20% of Auckland secondary schools, with ACG Senior College, ACG Strathallan and ACG Sunderland all sliding comfortably into the Top 20 for University Entrance, amongst the 87 secondary schools listed.
